That is the task of the theatre critic: to perserve forever what it was like to actually be there at a performance. You have served Gallipoli magnificently: not only does your passion for artistic risk and courage come shining through, it is a positive response written by one who knows just how difficult it is to create a work of perfection, especially under the trying conditions of Australian theatre.
